ADRENAL VENOUS SAMPLING
You lie on a couch in an X-ray room. A small plastic cannula (tube) will be placed into one of the veins in your hand. Throughout the procedure you will be given a drip through this cannula which will contain synacthen.
IPS SAMPLING
A catheter is placed into a vein in each leg (like for an angiogram of the heart) and threaded up into the jugular vein on either side of the neck.
